Indian Journal Social Psychiatry

Indian Journal Social Psychiatry – New issue online⁩

http://www.indjsp.org

All articles are fully and freely downloadable as PDF from across the world without any restrictions. Special issues and supplements are also available, like the Special WASP Congress issue (2016) where most of your valuable invited articles are there..

This is the pattern we are envisaging for the WORLD SOCIAL PSYCHIATRY journal as well, though it will take some time to work out all the administrative details with the potential publisher.

We got the internationally acclaimed publisher Wolters Kluwer (with its Indian partner Medknow) to publish this journal from 2015 onward. The first couple of issues had only around 1000 monthly downloads of its articles. The latest (for August) download figure is 14,000+. This itself speaks of the increasing popularity of the journal. It is not yet with Clarivate Analytics (former Thomson Reuters), hence impact factor cannot be calculated. We have applied for indexing with ESCI (Emerging Sources Citation Index) first and outcome is awaited. We have applied for indexing with Index Copernicus.
The rejection rate is around 40%. Lag period depends upon peer reviews and number of revisions, but ranges from a few months up to a year. All statistical details are meticulously maintained and displayed at the manuscript handling system (www.journalonweb.com/ijsp) or can be made available from the publisher from their computerized database.
